NURTW secretary brutally murdered by Black Axe cultists

The secretary of the National Union of road and transport workers(NURTW),Mr Taiye Monsuru a.k.a Sempe, is dead. Monsuru was brutally murdered in front of his home by suspected members of the dreaded cult group,Black Axe.

Taiye was reportedly called by the cultists a day before the incident, they accused him of waging war against rival cult,Aye. The cultists also threatened to kill him. On the day of the murder, at about 9:30 pm, the deceased had left Mushin toll gate and was making his way back home situated at 45 Adegboyega Street, Ilupeju on a motorcycle. On reaching the gatof his house, he was surrounded by unknown gunmen numbering about 10 and they shot him severally. After ensuring he was dead, they left.

35-year-old Monsuru was not a cultist but he had been having problems with them for a while.

Friends and eyewitnesses of the deceased have helped the police identify about 5 of the killers and are currently making arrangements to arrest them.
