Man sentenced to 45 years in jail for stealing Governor's phone
Rauf ighodalo being led out of court after the sentence
A 31 year old man, Kelvin Ighodalo has been slammed with 45 years in Jail for stealing a mobile phone belonging to the governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola.
Ighodalo stole the governor's sony Ericsson phone on November 27, 2010, when the governor was being inaugurated at Government Technical College, Osogbo.
Ighodalo was found guilty on six counts, which included stealing, conspiracy and fraud.
He was sentenced to a 10-year imprisonment for the first three counts and five years for each of the last three which included impersonation, obtaining property by falsehood and collusion.
Justice Oyejide Falola, who ruled that Ighodalo deserved the jail term, held that the thief used the phone to obtain N500, 000 from the Owa of Ilesa, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, while he obtained N200, 000.

Pallam and his family had travelled from Madagali in Adamawa to Maiduguri,Borno state to attend the wedding ceremony of his brother,Emmanuel. The family of eight attended the wedding and left after the event but have not been heard from since.
Peter Obi gives flying eagles N24 million
Governor of Anambra state,Mr peter Obi has doled out a sum of N24 million to the flying eagles who camped for one month in the state.
The generous Ibo man presented the cheque on Sunday during a reception in Awka for the team.
He stated the money would take care of the players’ accommodation,medication,feeding and allowances during their camping in the state in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
The flying eagles won bronze at the algeria 2013 U-20 African youth championship.

Ivory coast defeated Nigeria today in theUnder 17 CAF cup final that held today in Morocco. Both teams were good and played well but it was very clear ivory coast came with Over age players.

Walahi... terrorism business is a gold mine! choi ...see moni!....Terrorist agency, Boko haram was paid 500 million nigerian currency to release the french hostages they abducted some months back.
Their leader Shekau had initially demanded N1 billion before they negotiated and the price was brought don to 500.
Boko Haram were paid N500 million ($3.15 million) to free seven French hostages kidnapped in February, a confidential document from the Nigerian government available to Reuters states.
The family has already been released and they are back in france.

Worries about Donjazzy's Club POP
Club management is not the same as music, those are the words that i clearly remember the security man source telling me when i was at Saka Tinubu street in Victoria island today where i had gone to drop a computer device for my company.
I went to a company called cyberspace to deliver a computer device when i noticed that Donjazzy's club POP was just opposite the company building. when i dropped the device ,i was curious about how things went down at the club so i sat to have a chit chat with one security man in the area.

Desmond Tutu hospitalized
South African Archbishop,Desmond tutu has been hospitalized after being diagnosed of an infection.The 81 year old Nobel peace prize laureate is undergoing tests at a hospital in Cape Town to determine the cause of the infection.
The doctors refused to name the infection under the tutu's instruction.The nonsurgical treatment is expected to take five days, according to the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation.
Tutu was successfully treated of prostrate cancer in the US back in 1997.

According to Dailymail,
A 15 year old boy was hacked to death by a twenty man gang in London. All members of the Gang have been arrested and charged.
Sofyen Belamouadden had his life cut short at Victoria station in central London when he was chased and killed by the gang over youths.
Twenty teenagers were charged in connection with the attack, but three were cleared. Fifteen others have already been jailed for a total of 129 years.
Obi Nwokeh, 20, Christopher Omoregrie and Samson Odegbune, both 19, were given life sentences for murder last April with minimum terms of 18 years.

OAU student survives assassination,shot twice
A student of Obafemi Awolowo University,Taiwo Pelumi has nine lives.....or maybe God did not just want him yet...
The Chemical Engineering student was shot twice on April 12,2013 by unknown gunmen along Ede Road, Osun State.
According to eyewitness reports, Taiwo was making phone calls beside his car,when two men approached him, one of them pushed him down and shot him twice.A female student who was approaching him was abducted and his car was stolen.
Taiwo was rushed to the hospital from where he later tweeted this, “For you all who heard I was shot several times on Friday night that was me and I am still breathing. Thank Almighty God.”

Tears flowed freely at WayBridge River, Owode-Onirin, Lagos on Wednesday as the family of a 14-year-old JSS II pupil of Ikosi High School, Ketu, Lagos, Feyipitan Owonifaari, prepared to bury his remains by the riverside.
Feyipitan drowned in the river on Tuesday morning, while swimming with his brother, Farouk.
His body was retrieved from the river by officials of Merchant Navy attached to Lagos State Emergency Agency on Wednesday morning.

Suarez slammed with 10 match ban
The rabbit did not go unpunished!....hehehehe.... Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez has been handed a 10 match ban by English FA for biting Chelsea defender,Branislav Ivanovic in a match last sunday.
Suarez, who is nicknamed 'The Cannibal' has also bitten a player back when he was at Ajax, that earned him a 7 match ban.
The Liverpool striker has until Friday to appeal the verdict, after the Anfield club said they were “shocked and disappointed at the severity” of the punishment.
“Luis Suarez has been suspended for a total of ten matches after an Independent Regulatory Commission today ruled on a charge of violent conduct,” a statement on the FA website on Wednesday read.
