The lagos state government will be re-opening the 3rd mainland bridge today, october 30th 2012. 3rd mainland bridge is famous because it is the longest bridge in west africa, connecting lagos island to the mainland.
The bridge was shut down early July for repairs and was scheduled to open November 6th,but due to the speed and efficiency of the construction company it is now to be opened a week before the scheduled date.
