The Deputy governor of Akwa ibom state,Mr. Nsima Ekere, has resigned from office, This came as a shocker to people of the state but according to reliable sources, the resignation came as result of the heated tension between Mr.Ekere and the governor of the state,Godswill Akpabio.
Some political analysts in the state say that the deputy governor and Akpabio started having problems after it was discovered that Ekere had Governorship ambitions for 2015. He tendered his resignation letter after he got a tip off about impeachment plans against him.
